CASCADE CASCADE is an independent Magic: The Gathering focused publication launched in 2026 by Dan Sheehan & Callahan Jones. It's a collective of high-quality writers that are largely free to write about what they want - with a little bit of editorial direction from the top.
Profits for CASCADE CASCADE are split equally amongst the authors of each piece in any given issue. When you support our work, you support all of us.

Some FAQ:
Q: What the Heck is an Issue?
CASCADE CASCADE will be following a three-months-on, one-month-off cadence with each three months making up a 24~ article "Issue." This schedule will help us ensure that we're well rested and not forcing an eternal treadmill of making stuff for the sake of making stuff. We'd rather take time off to both relax and also polish up the next round of articles. Plus, this makes it easy to charge you for three month blocks, if you'd like, to avoid yet another Sub on your debit card. Don't worry, if you're month to month we'll pause your sub on the month off.
Q: How does this work?
A: Cascade Cascade is a subscriber only publication. Subscribers will get twice-weekly essays in their inbox and can sign in to access the site with plans as low as $7/month. BUT we know that people are a little subbed out, so we'll be offering non-recurring ways to subscribe. Learn more on our Subscribe page & buy the t-shirt.
Q: Why Cascade Cascade?
A: Cascade is the mechanical representation of firing off the dome. It's putting faith in a mixture of luck and careful construction, which feels like what we're doing. The only thing cooler than Cascading once is doing it again.
Q: Can I submit to Cascade Cascade!
A: Absolutely! Our list of writers is ever growing and our goal is to create an inclusive, easy-to-access path to publishing with us. More info about how to do this will be available once we get our feet fully under us.
Q: Will anything be free?
A: The first month will have lots of free pieces. From there, the main goal of this project is to the continued viability of writing about Magic. We value the time our writers put into their work and we want to pay them a fair rate.
